A person who received the Order of Merit for National Foundation, the National Foundation Medal, or the Presidential Citation, because they fought against the seizure of national rights by Japanese imperialism in Korea or in foreign countries from the seizure of national rights to August 14, 1945, or because they fought against Japanese imperialism for national independence

A soldier or police official wounded in action or in the line of duty corresponding thereto, and who has been discharged from military service or has retired from the service, whose disability has been assigned a disability rating of 1 to 7 in the physical examination conducted by the Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs

A soldier or police official discharged from military service or who has retired from the service after having been wounded (including suffering from a disease) in the line of duty or during education and training, and whose disability has been assigned a disability rating of 1 to 7 in the physical examination conducted by the Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs

A person who participated and was wounded and disabled in the Revolution before or after April 19, 1960, whose disability has been assigned a disability rating of 1 to 7 in the physical examination conducted by the Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs

A public official (excluding soldiers and police officials) provided for in Article 2 of the State Public Officials Act and Article 2 of the Local Public Officials Act, and an employee prescribed by Presidential Decree ordinarily engaged in public service in the State or a local government who have been wounded (including suffering from a disease) in the line of duty and have retired from the service, whose disability has been assigned a disability rating of 1 to 7 in the physical examination conducted by the Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs

A person killed or wounded in the course of rendering distinguished service among persons who have rendered distinguished service to national and social development, and who have been determined in the State Council as persons eligible under this Act (A special contributor to national and social development, wounded on active duty is a person whose disability has been assigned a disability rating of 1 to 7 in the physical examination conducted by the Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs)

A soldier or civilian military employee of North Korea, who became captives of the Korean armed forces or the United Nations forces between June 25, 1950, and July 23, 1953, and who is determined as a June 18 Wounded Freedom Seeker by the Patriots and Veterans Entitlement Commission

A soldier, police official or fire-fighting official discharged from military service or have retired from the service after having been wounded (including suffering from a disease) in the line of duty or during education and training not directly related to national defense or security, or the protection of the lives and property of the people, and whose disability has been assigned a disability rating of 1 to 7 in the physical examination conducted by the Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs

A public official (excluding soldiers and police officials) provided for in Article 2 of the State Public Officials Act and Article 2 of the Local Public Officials Act, and an employee prescribed by Presidential Decree ordinarily engaged in public service in the State or a local government who have been wounded (including suffering from a disease) in the line of duty not directly related to the protection of the lives and property of the people and have retired from the service, and whose disability has been assigned a disability rating of 1 to 7 in the physical examination conducted by the Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs

A soldier wounded in action or wounded on active duty, and wounded by disaster, who were determined to be ineligible in the physical examination

A person who sustained a disability or suffers from a disease in connection with the May 18 Democratization Movement, and who has been assessed with a disability rating of 1 to 14 and has received compensation under the Act on Compensation for Persons Associated with the May 18 Democratization Movement

A person who sustained injuries or contracted a disease as a result of performing a special mission or related training, and whose degree of physical disability, as determined by the medical examination conducted by the Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, corresponds to a disability rating under Article 6-4 of the Act on the Honorable Treatment and Support of Persons of Distinguished Service to the State
