    Welcome to the Department of Nephrology at Gwangju Veterans Hospital.

    The Department of Nephrology provides specialized treatment for primary kidney diseases (glomerulonephritis, indicated by abnormal urinalysis) and kidney diseases resulting from secondary effects of systemic conditions (hypertensive and diabetic nephropathy, autoimmune diseases).

    In addition, the Department of Nephrology operates an artificial kidney center for the treatment of acute/chronic renal failure. Management and education for renal failure patients are provided, including hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, lifestyle modification, dietary education, and long-term treatment planning consultation.
