- Scope of Family Members: Parents, spouse, children (grandchildren are also included for persons of distinguished service to independence), and daughters-in-law (eligible for fee reduction only if registered before July 1, 2009; those registered after that date are not eligible)
- Family Members Not Eligible for Fee Reduction: For founding military members, long-term service veterans, and war veterans, only the individual is eligible for the fee reduction; family members are not included
- Not Covered by the Fee Reduction: Meal charges, blood transfusion fees, certificate issuance fees, medical material costs, dental prosthetics fees, assistive device costs, and higher-class ward room charges
- Fee reduction benefits are available only after registration with the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs.
