Admission Procedure

  1. 01.Submit the Hospital Admission Agreement Form (hospital-designated form) and your Resident Registration Card
  2. 02.The patient or guardian must complete the form themselves
  3. 03.Visit the Admission/Discharge Counter on the 2nd floor of the Main Building, confirm the admission instructions, and then proceed to the assigned ward
For psychiatric inpatients admitted under a guardian’s responsibility

One copy of the patient’s Resident Registration Certificate (or Resident Registration Abstract) and one copy of the guardian-related documents (Resident Registration Certificate, Family Relationship Certificate, or document verifying guardianship) must be submitted.

Decision on discharge

When your attending physician approves your discharge, receive guidance on the final payment procedure from the nursing station in your ward.

Payment of medical fees
  • Make your payment at the Admission/Discharge Counter on the 2nd floor of the Main Building
  • Gwangju Long-Term Care Hospital: Make your payment at the Admission/Discharge Counter on the 1st floor of the Main Building

Discharge processing

After paying your medical fees, submit the discharge receipt to the nursing station in your ward. Check your discharge medications and instructions, then you may return home.

Discharge at nighttime and on public holidays (preliminary discharge)

  • Regular discharge procedures are available at the discharge counter until 5:30 PM on weekdays.
  • For nighttime (after 5:30 PM) or holiday discharges, please make payment (based on the pre-insurance review amount) at the Night Administration Counter inside the Emergency Medical Center and proceed with preliminary discharge. (Takes about one week)
