    Make Appointments In-Person
    • Visit the Administration Office Reception Desk

    • Submit the documents, including the health insurance card, medical care beneficiary card, referral letter, and certificate of person of distinguished service to the state

    • Return home

    • Receive your appointment confirmation slip

    • Visit on the appointment day for treatment

    Make a reservation by calling the Gwangju Veterans Hospital Appointment Center (+82-62-602-6363) ⤑ Book a medical appointment ⤑ Visit the hospital on your appointment date

    Outpatient consultations are by appointment only, so please make an appointment in advance before visiting.

    Without making an appointment, you may not be able to receive treatment, and even if treatment is available, waiting times may be significantly longer.

  • STEP02Visit on the appointment day

    Go to the Administration Office to pay the registration fee, then proceed to your designated medical department.

    Persons of distinguished service to the state and patients who have already paid the registration fee through a scheduled appointment may go directly to the medical department at their reserved time.

    Required Documents
    • Bring your Health Insurance Card (or Medical Care Beneficiary Card) and Certificate of Person of Distinguished Service to the State on your appointment day.
    • As a secondary general care institution in the medical referral system, Medical Aid Type 1 and 2 beneficiaries must submit a referral letter issued by a primary care institution (local clinic, doctor’s office, or public health center) on their first visit to receive medical aid benefits.
    • Bereaved families of persons of distinguished service to the state must bring the Certificate of Person of Distinguished Service to the State and documents proving family relationship (e.g., Family Relation Certificate, Resident Registration, or a confirmation issued by the Regional Office of Patriots and Veterans Affairs for medical fee reduction).
      If verification can be done electronically, no additional documents are required.
  • STEP03Outpatient registration and payment
    • Pay the registration fee at the Administration Office counter (or self-payment kiosk)

    • Treatment at the designated medical department

    • Payment at the Administration Office counter

    • Various tests

    If you have prepaid the appointment fee, you may go directly to the designated medical department for your examination and then visit the Administration Office counter afterward for any necessary payment processing.

    For payment of medical fees (including external prescription issuance) or test fees, you can use the self-payment kiosk for convenient and quick processing.

    For government-funded patients, the receipt and follow-up appointment slip will be issued at the outpatient clinic after your consultation, so you do not need to visit the administration office counter.
