Hospital Visiting Guide

Hospital Visiting Guide

  • To ensure a safe medical environment and prevent infections, all wards at VHS Gwangju Hospital are equipped with screen doors. Only one guardian holding a “Guardian Access Card” may enter the ward. (The Guardian Access Card is issued at the Admissions and Discharge Desk in the Administration Department.)
  • Those without a Guardian Access Card may visit only during designated visiting hours and at the specified visiting area below.
  • Minimizing hospital visits by non-patients is the best form of infection prevention. Please express your care and concern through video calls or text messages instead of in-person visits.

    • Those with acute gastrointestinal symptoms (e.g., diarrhea, abdominal pain, vomiting)

  • Group visits from relatives, alumni associations, or religious organizations are restricted. Depending on the patient’s condition, visits may also be limited.
  • In the ICU, only one visitor is allowed per visit, and visits should be kept short to help ensure patient safety.

Please follow the guidelines below when visiting.

  • Use the designated visiting room at the ward entrance.
  • Refrain from any behavior that may disturb the patient’s rest or from holding group religious activities.
  • Wash your hands and follow proper cough etiquette before and after entering to prevent infection of patients and visitors.
  • Do not bring flowers, potted plants, pets, or outside food into the hospital.
