Since its opening in 1987 with 120 beds, the VHS Gwangju Hospital has continuously grown with your support, providing medical care for persons of distinguished service to the state, their families, and residents, and fulfilling its mission as a public healthcare institution in the Honam region.

Currently located in the Cheomdan District of Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Veterans Hospital stands as a leading medical institution in the Honam region, equivalent to a tertiary general hospital. Situated on a spacious and pleasant site of over 76,000 square meters, the hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art medical facilities and operates a fully computerized system. With 600 beds, 24 specialized departments, and 5 specialized medical centers, it serves not only as a place for medical treatment but also as a residency training hospital dedicated to cultivating outstanding medical professionals, advancing education, and conducting research under the guidance of highly skilled and experienced medical staff.
