The VHS Daejeon Hospital was established in 1997 as the fifth VHS hospital in Korea under the Korea Veterans Health Service Act of 1981. Since its founding, the hospital has continuously worked to improve the health and medical welfare of persons of distinguished service to the state and local residents in the Daejeon, Sejong, and Chungcheong regions, and has grown into a 387-bed public medical institution.
The hospital has recently completed a comprehensive renovation with support from the government’s lottery fund. It has also introduced state-of-the-art medical equipment, including robotic rehabilitation systems, to ensure that every visitor receives the highest quality of medical care.
As the director, I draw on my 32 years of experience in clinical practice, research, and administration as a professor at Seoul National University. I am committed to integrating these best practices into the VHS Daejeon Hospital to provide higher-quality healthcare services and deliver warm and compassionate care to every patient.
All members of the VHS Daejeon Hospital take great pride in serving those who have dedicated their lives to the nation. Our entire staff will continue to work with sincerity and passion to make this hospital one that is deeply trusted and loved by veterans and the local community.
I sincerely ask for your continued support and encouragement
Director, VHS Daejeon HospitalLee Jeong-Sang
