  • Recipients of Orders of Military Merit or National Merit
    Discount Rate : 60% reduction on the patient’s share of medical expenses

    Eligible under Article 4, Paragraph 1, Items 7 and 8 of the Act on the Honorable Treatment and Support of Persons of Distinguished Service to the State.

  • Contributors to the April 19 Revolution
    Discount Rate : 60% reduction on the patient’s share of medical expenses

    Eligible under Article 4, Paragraph 1, Item 12 of the Act on the Honorable Treatment and Support of Persons of Distinguished Service to the State

  • Persons of distinguished service for a special mission
    Discount Rate : 60% reduction on the patient’s share of medical expenses

    Eligible under Article 4, Paragraph 1, Item 17 of the same Act.

  • Families of Persons of Distinguished Service to the State
    Discount Rate : 60% reduction on the patient’s share of medical expenses

    Eligible under Article 5 of the Act on the Honorable Treatment and Support of Persons of Distinguished Service to the State and Article 5 of the Act on the Honorable Treatment of Independence Activists.

  • Deceased or Missing Victims of the May 18 Democratization Movement
    Discount Rate : 60% reduction on the patient’s share of medical expenses

    Applicable to the families of those defined under Article 4, Items 1 and 2, and subject to Article 5 of the Act on the Honorable Treatment of Persons of Distinguished Service to the May 18 Democratization Movement.

  • Other Victims of the May 18 Democratization Movement
    Discount Rate : 50% reduction on the patient’s share of medical expenses

    Eligible under Article 4, Item 3 of the Act on the Honorable Treatment of Persons of Distinguished Service to the May 18 Democratization Movement.

  • Families of Other Victims of the May 18 Democratization Movement
    Discount Rate : 30% reduction on the patient’s share of medical expenses

    Applicable to the families of those defined under Article 4, Item 3 of the same Act.

  • Founding and Long-Term Service Discharged Soldiers
    Discount Rate : 50% reduction on the patient’s share of medical expenses

    Eligible under Article 20, Paragraph 1 of the Act on the Support for Discharged Soldiers.

  • Wartime Veterans
    Discount Rate : 90% reduction on the patient’s share of medical expenses

    Eligible under Article 2, Paragraph 2 of the Act on the Honorable Treatment of Wartime Veterans and Establishment of Related Organizations.

  • Families of Deceased or Missing Special Mission Personnel, and Contributors or Their Families
    Discount Rate : 60% reduction on the patient’s share of medical expenses

    Eligible under Articles 3(3) and 4 of the Act on Support for Persons Performing Special Missions and the Establishment of Related Organizations.

  • Individuals Recognized by the Hospital Director as Necessary for Group or Maternal-Child Healthcare
    Discount Rate : 30% reduction on the patient’s share of medical expenses
  • Scope of Family Members : Parents, spouse, children (including grandchildren for independence activists), and daughters-in-law (eligible only for registrations before July 1, 2009; ineligible thereafter).
  • Exclusions for Family Members : For founding soldiers, long-term discharged soldiers, and wartime veterans, only the individual is eligible for the reduction — family members are not included.
  • Items Excluded from Reduction : Certificate fees, medical material costs, dental prosthetics, assistive devices, and higher-grade hospital room charges.
  • Reduced-fee medical benefits are available only after registration with the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs.
