Outpatient Treatment Procedure

  • STEP 01Same-day or Reserved Registration
    • Same-day Registration: Please bring your Persons of Distinguished Service to the State ID or personal ID and visit the Administration Office to register and make payment.
    • Reserved Registration: Bring your Persons of Distinguished Service to the State ID or personal ID to the Administration Office on your appointment day to pay and receive your appointment slip.
    Required Documents
    • On your appointment day, please bring your National Health Insurance Card (or Medical Aid Card) and Persons of Distinguished Service to the State ID.
    • As the VHS Daegu Hospital is a secondary general care institution within the medical referral system, Medical Aid Type 1 and 2 beneficiaries must submit a referral letter issued by a primary healthcare provider (clinic, local hospital, or public health center) during their first visit to receive medical benefits.
    • Family members of persons of distinguished service to the state must bring the Persons of Distinguished Service to the State ID and proof of family relationship (Family Relations Certificate, Resident Registration, or a Medical Fee Reduction Certificate issued by the local Veterans Affairs Office).
      If verification is possible electronically, no additional documents are required.
  • STEP 02On the Appointment Day

    Visit the Administration Office, pay the registration fee, and proceed to your designated department.

    If you are a person of distinguished service to the state who already paid your registration fee during the reservation, please go directly to your department at the scheduled time.

    Required Documents

    • Consultation

    • Make payment at the Administration Office counter.

    • Tests and Examinations

    If you prepaid the appointment fee, you may go directly to your department for consultation and then proceed to the Administration Office afterward.

    • Blood Test and Same-day Examinations (Test Appointment)

    Prescription and Return Home

    Government-funded Patients

    • Make an Appointment

    • Visit the outpatient clinic on your appointment date and receive consultation.

    • Receive medication at the hospital pharmacy counter.

    • Departure (Return Home)

    Self-paying Patients

    • Make an Appointment

    • On the Appointment Day

    • Make payment at the Administration Office (Department 2) counter.

    • Outpatient Consultation

    • Make payment and receive an external prescription at the Administration Office
      (Department 2).

    • Departure (Return Home)

    • Next Appointment Visit

    For payment of consultation fees, prescriptions, or test fees, please use the self-payment kiosks for faster and more convenient service.

    For government-funded patients, a receipt and follow-up appointment slip will be issued at the outpatient department after consultation. Therefore, you do not need to visit the Administration Office counter.
