The goal of infection control at Busan Veterans Health Service Medical Center is to protect all people in the hospital, including patients, health care workers, and visitors, from infection, and to create a safe medical environment from infection by achieving consistent performance through an infection control organization, including trained infection control personnel, infection control guidelines based on scientific evidence, and education and training.
The infection control system and program are applied, and infection prevention guidelines are applied according to the standard prevention guidelines for healthcare-associated infections. Activities of the Infection Control Office are supported through the Infection Control Committee, regular meetings, and regular infection control rounds.
