About VHS Busan Hospital

  • The VHS Busan Hospital provides government-funded medical services to persons of distinguished service to the state, veterans with disabilities, and other persons of distinguished service to the state, as well as discounted treatment for their bereaved families and war veterans.
  • The hospital also conducts medical examinations and treatment for patients exposed to Agent Orange and supports both physical and mental rehabilitation for severely disabled veterans.
  • We are dedicated to supplying and repairing prosthetic devices to supplement physical functions and contribute to improving public health in the local community.

  • May 2022Operating 475 Licensed Beds (General 255, Nursing Care 96, Palliative 20, Rehabilitation 80, ICU 24)
  • Mar 2022Opened Rehabilitation Center (80 Beds)
2011 - 2020
  • Dec 2020Completed Funeral Hall Remodeling
  • Apr 2018Operating 539 Beds (including 48 Nursing-Care and 14 Palliative Beds)
  • Dec 2015Completed 546-Bed Ward Remodeling
  • Dec 2012Completed Outpatient Facility Remodeling (Main Building)
  • Jun 2011Opened Outpatient Clinic Center (East Wing)

  • May 2005Constructed New Funeral Hall (9 Rooms) and Rehabilitation Gymnasium
  • Feb 2005Expanded New and Annex Buildings to 224 Beds (Total 564 Beds, 21 Departments)

  • Nov 1994Built Annex Ward (3 Floors, 100 Beds; Total 340 Beds, 16 Departments)
  • May 1992Relocated to Current Site with 240 Beds (15 Departments, Jurye-dong, Sasang-gu)
