About the Department

The Department of General Surgery at VHS Medical Center is staffed by seven board-certified surgeons, each providing specialized care in their respective subspecialties. With extensive surgical experience and a well-established multidisciplinary care system, we deliver systematic and highly precise surgical treatment.

    • Most procedures are performed laparoscopically, and for major cancers such as colorectal, rectal, and gastric cancers, we actively utilize robotic surgery to improve clinical outcomes.

    • Laparoscopic techniques are widely applied across nearly all surgical areas, including the stomach, colon, liver, gallbladder, hernia, and appendix, enabling faster recovery and reduced postoperative pain.
