About the Department

The Department of Pathology observes biopsy tissues and cellular specimens requested by various clinical departments to provide information on the cause of disease, prognosis, and treatment direction.

We also support multidisciplinary case conferences, consultations, and pathology-related research.

Medical Services

Tissue Pathology Examinations
We provide pathological diagnoses of biopsy tissue specimens and related histopathological information to guide clinicians in determining treatment plans.
Frozen Section Examinations
During surgery, we prepare frozen sections to determine unexpected lesions, cancer metastasis, and whether cancer remains at the resection margin, enabling immediate pathological diagnosis and guiding clinicians’ operative decisions.
Immunohistochemistry and Special Staining
We perform additional tests to enhance diagnostic accuracy, enabling more detailed and precise pathology diagnoses.
Molecular Pathology Examinations
Through the analysis of tumor-related genes and markers, we provide information necessary for personalized patient treatment.
Cytopathology Examinations
Using cervical smear tests and various body fluid specimens, we support early cancer detection and disease diagnosis.
