About the Department

The Department of Infectious Diseases at VHS Medical Center provides diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of infectious diseases caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites, and protozoa, as well as for cases of fever of unknown origin. In addition, our team provides in-hospital infection consultations and leads infection control initiatives. We are committed to maintaining a safe and healthy care environment.

    Diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases caused by various microorganisms, as well as the evaluation and workup of fever of unknown origin

  • HIV/AIDS

    Specialized management for infectious disease patients and offer pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for individuals at increased risk

  • Adult Vaccinations

    Personalized vaccination counseling and immunization based on age, underlying medical conditions, and individual risk factors

  • Hospital Infection Control

    Prevention of healthcare-associated infections and oversight of antibiotic stewardship programs throughout the hospital
