Admission Check-In

  1. 01.Submit the Hospital Admission Agreement (hospital standard form) and your resident registration card.
  2. 02.The patient or guardian must fill out the required forms personally.
  3. 03.Visit the Inpatient Life Information Desk on the 1st floor of the Central Building to review inpatient guidelines, then proceed to the assigned ward.
    For Psychiatry Department Admissions: If the patient is admitted under a guardian’s care,

    the following documents must be submitted: 1 copy of the patient’s resident registration or certificate of residence; 1 document proving the guardian’s relationship (resident registration copy, family relation certificate, or legal guardianship certificate).

Discharge Decision

  • Payment of Hospital Fees
    • VHS Medical Center: Pay at the discharge payment counter on the 2nd floor of the Central Building.
    • VHS Long-term Care Hospital: Pay at the admission/discharge payment counter on the 1st floor of Building 2.
  • Issuance of Certificates and Documents
    • If you need any official documents before discharge, please inform the nurses’ station.

      Applying for documents on the day of discharge may delay your discharge; please submit requests at least one day before.

      If not requested during hospitalization, you can apply for and receive documents during your next outpatient visit.

When the attending physician decides on discharge, please follow the final payment and checkout instructions provided by the nurses’ station.

Discharge Procedure

After paying your medical bill, please submit the discharge receipt to the ward nurse’s station, check your discharge medications and instructions, and then you may go home.

Nighttime and Holiday Discharges (Temporary Discharge)

  • Regular discharge processing is available at the discharge counter until 5:30 pm on weekdays.
  • For discharges during nighttime hours (after 5:30 pm) or on holidays, please make payment (for the pre-assessed amount before insurance review) at the night administrative counter located in the Emergency Medical Center. After your temporary discharge, the final hospital bill will be assessed through insurance review and you will be notified of the exact amount (this process takes about one week).
