What Is a Donation?

To help patients who are financially unable to pay for their medical treatment, the Medical Social Welfare Department of the VHS Medical Center raises social welfare funds to provide financial assistance for medical expenses.

Eligibility for VHS Medical Center Social Welfare Fund Support

Patients who require surgery or other treatments but are unable to pay their share of the costs
Low-income individuals who meet the support criteria based on median income and asset standards
Those without family support or whose family members are unable to provide financial assistance

Criteria for Fund Support

Priority is given to patients who cannot receive support from external sources (local governments, private organizations, etc.).
Additional support may be provided even if the patient has already received aid from other funds.
Limited to small-scale medical expenses under KRW 1 million.
Costs for medical devices, assistive equipment, or other consumables are not covered.
