At the Medical Collaboration Center,

we work to establish an efficient medical service system in collaboration with five regional VHS Hospitals and designated partner hospitals nationwide.
We provide optimal medical services for patients referred from veterans’ and partner hospitals across the country and operate a close medical collaboration network to ensure better collaborative patient care.

We have established a referral system that enables patients with complex or difficult-to-treat conditions—which may be challenging to manage at the five regional VHS Hospitals or other designated partner hospitals nationwide—to receive specialized care at the VHS Medical Center. Through this systematic veterans’ medical service network, we provide integrated, patient-centered healthcare services that combine both high-quality medical care and enhanced accessibility.

In addition to fulfilling its role as a public healthcare–centered medical institution, we actively participate in the Referral and Return Pilot Program in collaboration with local medical facilities, striving to improve medical services and promote the health of residents.

The VHS Medical Center also conducts invited surgeries with medical professionals from tertiary hospitals, fostering collaboration and exchange to provide patients with the highest quality medical care.
