About the Center

The Colorectal Cancer Center at the VHS Medical Center is staffed by some of the most experienced medical specialists in the country.

In South Korea, colorectal cancer has the second highest incidence (third among men and third among women) and is the third leading cause of cancer-related death.
Due to the westernization of dietary habits and an aging population, the number of patients has been increasing every year.
Colorectal cancer requires varied diagnostic and therapeutic approaches depending on the tumor’s location, stage, and the patient’s condition, and treatment methods that consider postoperative quality of life have also been developed.

04 We care about patients’ quality of life after colorectal cancer surgery.
Patients at the VHS Medical Center tend to be older compared to those at other hospitals.
