- This assistive device helps to relieve the pressure and body weight of users who remain in bed for long periods while promoting air circulation to prevent pressure ulcers.
Types
- Alternating Pressure/Powered: An electric air pump periodically inflates and deflates the mattress air tubes.
- Static Air/Non-Powered: Without needing an electric pump, the air cells automatically adjust to the user’s posture and body shape for even pressure distribution through air movement.
