When a new wheelchair is provided to an eligible recipient, used wheelchairs that have exceeded their five-year service life are collected and either donated or loaned free of charge to organizations and individuals in need. These include not only veterans’ families but also individuals with disabilities and low-income households, sharing happiness with socially disadvantaged groups

Article 17 (Voluntary Return of Major Prosthetic Devices) of the “Regulations on the Provision of Prosthetic Devices for Persons of Distinguished Service to the State, etc.”
If a person who has received a prosthetic device voluntarily donates or returns it because they no longer need to use it, it may be collected and reused after assessing its condition and determining an appropriate method of utilization.
