Knee Orthoses (KO)

• A knee orthosis is used when there is a disability affecting only the knee joint, independent of the foot or ankle joints.
• Used to support and protect the knee or to control the movement of the knee joint when necessary.
• Used to prevent and correct deformities of the knee.
• Recently, knee orthoses have been widely used for ligament and joint injuries caused by traffic accidents or sports activities.
