Suction Type

• A method of attaching the prosthesis to the body by inserting the residual limb into the socket, expelling the air inside, and creating a vacuum without using additional attachments such as a Silesian belt.

Silicone Liner Types

Pin Type

• The pin on the silicone liner worn on the residual limb locks into the shuttle lock of the prosthesis to secure it to the body.

Suction Type (Seal-in Type)

• Without a pin or shuttle lock, the silicone liner is worn and air inside the socket is expelled to create a vacuum for attachment.

Custom Silicone Liner Type

• Used when commercial liners cannot be used (e.g., severe deformity of the residual limb).
  The liner’s thickness and hardness are customized for comfort and better weight distribution.
• A sleeve covering up to the thigh is required for suction use.
