What is Home-Based Hospice Care?

A service in which a hospice team—including physicians, physician assistants, and social workers—visits the homes of terminal cancer patients and their families to provide physical, psychological, social, and spiritual care to help patients maintain a high quality of life and spend their remaining time comfortably in a familiar environment.
